What Is This Thing?
A one-piece fleece suit in deep teal, with a hood moulded into a duck's head — round eyes on top, a brown-gold bill projecting over the wearer's forehead. On the back, just below the waist, there is a small yellow tail.
It is a kigurumi, the Japanese animal-onesie format, and unlike everything else in this category it is not inflatable and needs no fan.
Why You Don't Need It
It is a set of pyjamas that has been made harder to wear. The hood means you cannot lie back comfortably, the fleece means it is unwearable for half the year, and the duck bill means answering the door in it is a decision.
You almost certainly already own something to sleep in.
Why You'll Buy It Anyway
The rest of this category is event wear — you inflate it, you are photographed, you deflate it, it goes in a cupboard for a year. This one is the opposite. It is a costume you can wear on a sofa, which means it gets used dozens of times rather than once.
The duck is also a better choice than it sounds. The bill projects far enough to be visible in the wearer's own peripheral vision, so it is one of the few costumes that is mildly funny to the person inside it.

Who It's Actually For
Anyone who has been to a sleepover-themed party, a student house in winter, or a family Christmas where matching pyjamas are mandatory. It covers all three.
Also, more practically, it is warm. Fleece at this weight is a legitimate answer to a cold flat, and the duck is the price of admission.

Check the sizing chart rather than guessing. Onesies are cut long in the body and a size that fits across the shoulders can still be wrong in the torso, which is the one measurement that ruins them.
Fleece pills. That is a property of the fabric rather than a fault of the seller, and it means this is a garment with a life measured in a couple of winters.
